Bridlington Spa to host Northern Soul Weekender

Bridlington Spa is to host one of the biggest events in the Northern Soul Calendar, from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June 2026.

Now in its 20th year, the event is supported by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Visit East Yorkshire team and is one the largest dedicated Northern Soul Weekender events in the UK.

In addition, more than £100,000 has been raised by the weekender attendees to support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. The Hospice provides end of life care outside of a hospital setting and offer a wide range of services and options for parents who find themselves with extremely poorly children.

During the event there will be raffles, auctions and the sale of woven badges and patches to further fundraise for the hospice, with the final amount raised to be revealed during the weekender.

The event will feature six different rooms offering the best soul sounds from the early 1960s, through to the latest releases. The playlist includes a wide range of music from classic northern soul to rare, underplayed tracks and Motown. Over the course of the three-day event, more than 70 different DJs from across the country will be spinning original ’vinyl 45’s covering every soul genre between them.

Councillor Nick Coultish, East Riding of Yorkshire Council cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism said: “The Northern Soul Weekender is a fantastic event, and we highly encourage northern soul enthusiasts to sign up and attend.

“We look forward to welcoming more than 2,000 visitors to East Yorkshire, for the event. which will provide a welcome boost to the local economy and community.”

The Northern Soul Weekender in Bridlington always has an amazing atmosphere, with top DJs and top sounds attracting a huge audience from across the UK.

“We’re delighted to be working with Visit East Yorkshire once again to stage this incredible event, and very much looking forward to heading back to Bridlington this month.”
