A new exhibition by the Skidby Mill volunteer team opens at the windmill on Tuesday 13 December.
"Sail & Steam: Boat building in the East Riding", looks at evidence for boat building in this area from Prehistory down to modern times. A number of locations are covered, including Bridlington, Goole, Hessle, Paull and Ferriby. The display runs until 16 May, 2017, and is supported by artefacts from the council's museums service collections.
